Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled NetApp Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to design, implement, and manage solutions using NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing data management, streamlining security, and optimizing cloud storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Folder Ownership & Access Control:
• Streamline and manage folder ownership to ensure efficient user access.
• Optimize and simplify the current access list to improve usability and security.
• Data Auditing & Attestation:
• Conduct comprehensive data attestation of existing data, ensuring compliance and ownership accountability.
• Clean up aged and redundant data to optimize storage space and improve performance.
• Data Consolidation:
• Consolidate scattered data into a centralized, manageable system.
• Review and modify existing folder structures, and create new structures if required for enhanced organization and accessibility.
• Security Group Structure:
• Streamline the current security group structure to simplify permissions management.
• Implement advanced security measures to protect data, including encryption, access controls, and continuous monitoring.
• Cloud Security:
• Strengthen overall data security by deploying robust cloud security solutions and best practices, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of cloud-based data.
• Cloud Automation & Usability:
• Enable automation and self-service features to ensure prompt responsiveness to user requests.
• Simplify administrative processes with a focus on user-friendly interfaces.
• Data Migration:
• Design and implement data migration solutions to transition data to the cloud efficiently.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors or suppliers to ensure a smooth migration process.
• Data Accessibility & Archiving:
• Ensure easy and secure access to cloud data for end users, enhancing their workflow and data retrieval capabilities.
• Implement effective data archiving strategies to manage long-term storage needs.
• Backup & Recovery:
• Implement reliable data backup and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss, ensuring swift recovery in the event of failures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in NetApp storage solutions, including hands-on experience with NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
• Expertise in data migration, cloud storage management, and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of folder structures, access controls, security group management, and data attestation.
• Proven experience with cloud environments and cloud security measures.
• Experience in automation, data consolidation, and administration using NetApp tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
• NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE)
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
